AWESOME!
It's no wonder this place has been the best since the 1960s! What a beautiful oceanfront Restaurant. We were a party of 6. We started out with chocolate martinis at the bar, watched the sunset, sang along with the live musician, then sat in a high-back leather booth for an amazing dinner! I had the Baseball Cut Swordfish with Lemon Dill sauce. My friend had the Crabcakes, and Chilean Sea Bass with Passion Fruit sauce, We had Delicious Abalone, Kobe Beef, Prime Filet mignon, and Lobster Thermador! The service was the best! Our servers were so down to Earth & professional. They just seemed so happy to be there. The restaurant is very well kept, and the wine celler is definitely where I'll have my office holiday party. 2 of us stayed upstairs at The Dorymann's Inn Bed & Breakfast. It's SO COMFY & toooooo cute!

whats good about this place? TAKE A LOOK before you go there for a special occasion. place is so extra-inordinary, you would be better off going to a neighborhood fastfood joint. save your money and time - find some other place for your dinner.
Awful Service
My husband and I are visiting Newport from Beverly Hills for the weekend and had advanced reservations to this restaurant. I noticed that the water glass was dirty and kindly let my waiter know. (I have never complained about glassware or silverware at restaurants before!) To my surprise, he got angry! He didn't believe the glass was dirty and argued with me! When I asked that he replace it, he actually yelled back, "Why are you lying about this glass being dirty when it is NOT?!" He did this in front of everyone in my section of the restaurant and by the bar - and refused to replace it. When my husband and I stood up to walk out in shock, he continued saying that I was lying about the glass! For crying aloud, how hard could it be to just replace the glass! No managers came by to resolve the issue. Ridiculously poor service.
