Dining at the Monsoon Café is a relaxing, spiritual experience provided by a unique atmosphere and fresh food. Even before diners walk through the door they are hypnotized by a pair of soothing yet intriguing eyes that adorn the front of the restaurant. The restaurant itself looks like a two story Eastern temple high ceilings and dazzling lighting fixtures, with lots of gold trim adorning columns and walls alike. There is plenty of seating in an open courtyard, with plenty of shade for even the sunniest days. Night is an exciting time at the Monsoon Café, with Salsa lessons and performances on Wednesdays and Saturdays and DJ battles on Friday nights.
Dined here with a party of 7 on a Friday night w/ a resevation. location, atmosphere, food, service and prices are great! would recommend the seabass and sushi.. rest of the party had lamb and steak and were also pleased with their meal.. although we had ordered fried rice w/out eggs since my mom was fasting, it came with eggs in it.. when we pointed this out and asked for one w/out eggs, our server gladly obliged, apologized and comped the fried rice.. I thought that was nice.. we were too full to try desserts but all in all it was a good experience. too bad I wasn't there on a salsa night but will surely go back to experience that.
Great food, good price and really nice ambient.
I really enjoyed every aspect of the restaurant. The building itself is really impressive and has a relaxing or romantic atmosphere. The food was great as well as the service. I would definitely return and recommend it.
the meal was delicious. the atmosphere was perfect. overall very great restaurant. definitely worth the drive from orange county
I took my boyfriend here, and we both loved it. The food was really great, and the ambiance made the trip out of the valley worth it!
Great place to eat, the food is great, the service is great and the place looks nice. Nice dim lighting for a romantic effect.
cafe Sevilla
I WAS THERE MANY TIMES . VERY GOOD FOOD . FUN PLACE .
Great food.
The menu has a variety of selections and the music is more of a Cuban style. Staff was great and friendly, food was out fast, and it was not too pricey. Great location!
After reading reviews on this site we had high hopes for Monsson Cafe. However it seems that it no longer deserves being a "top ten" restaurant. Both service and food had its faults. The appetizers tasted too little. we had tempura calamari and tempura vegetables. They both could have used more spices and salt. The waitress should be able to make a wine suggestion for the main course that is more specific than "cabernet is always good with meat".
