Not in the mood for monotony during your meal? Fed up with boring, flavorless food a friend-of-a-friend has recommended? After your visit to Gaucho Grill in Brentwood and Long Beach, they’ll set the culinary standards from there on out. Gaucho Grill is an Argentinean restaurant that specializes in authentic fare from South America like small plates of chorizo, morcilla and emanadas to grand entrees like its Entrana a La Parilla (Argentinean skirt steak) or Parrillada, a variety of grilled short ribs, skirt steak, chicken, grilled tender sweetbreads, quarter chicken on the bone, chorizo and grilled veggies enough for two to three people.

The newly renovated location in Brentwood has exposed, dark wood, stone tiling around the arches in the dining room, leather placemats, leather menus, a dim lamp and a single rose on every table. Can’t get too much more romantic than that now can it? And just like its successor, Gaucho Grill in Long Beach features the same interior characteristics – a stone archway paired with dark red notes and wood panels, an ideal location for a dinner date.  However, the Long Beach location has a patio that fuses traditional Argentinean décor with an emphasis of stainless steel accents, a mixer of domestic and industrial characteristics

How about a specialized wine selection from South America to allow you to further indulge in the culture of our southern neighbor? Try out the adult beverages during happy hour as well, where you can get $3 beers and $4 wines by the glass along with cheap food finds from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday. Carry out is available as well. Get your food delivered or place your order online instead of the phone, you choose your convenience and Gaucho Grills takes care of the rest.

Gaucho Grill prides itself on its high standards and quality, but sitting down for a meal in either location, you’re going to get a casual, inviting vibe during the visit. If you’re making a leisurely stroll down San Vicente Boulevard or driving on Pine Avenue around lunch time, you’re in for even more of a treat. Most places draw in customers by having slightly lower prices during the day, but shrink down the portion size and options. However, Gaucho Grill serves pretty much the same menu for dinner as they do for lunch with the same portion size and more. There’s chicken, fish, array of salads, sandwiches and burgers with Argentinean flair along with its renowned steaks. If you’re vegetarian, the kitchen has your covered as well with a nice selection of fresh, seasonal roughage, from zucchini, green beans to sautéed mushrooms and spinach or Tortilla De Papa and Espinaca (Omelets with potato or spinach). To make things even better, each lunch special is accompanied with a complementary soft drink, making it a must try whenever you in the neighborhood.

Reasonable prices, high quality and a lively atmosphere tend to lure restaurant goers to the Gaucho Grill seven days a week, so spread the word once you’ve experienced this authentic Argentinean establishment for yourself, you and your friends will be glad you did.
